11.3 New Options
NOTE Default settings are underlined.
Open Window Group (Area)
(0 31, always, never)
(Menu 14: Area Options)
Window groups assigned to area for openings. Used to control auto-open, exception open, and
close trouble.
Close Window Group (Area)
(0-31, always, never)
(Menu 14: Area Options)
Window group assigned to area for closings. Used to control auto-close, exception close, and
open trouble.
Auto No Force
(yes, no)
(Menu 4: System)
Causes Auto Arm to arm without bypassing Not Ready Zones; normally zones are bypassed if
not ready. Not ready zones will go into alarm.
Use Arm (Menu “Yes”)
(yes, no)
(Menu 4: System)
Causes the arm menu to be active for all user open and close operations. In previous versions,
system users assigned to one area only did not have access to the menu features. By selecting
this option, all system users have access to the menu. This option also applies to non-split arm-
ing systems (access is only granted to Area 1 in the menu).
Service Reminder
(mm/dd: 00/00)
(Menu 11: Timers, 10-System Messages:#8)
When selected, a service message (Programmable System Message 8) will appear on a pro-
grammed date (at midnight). The service message will continue to be displayed (instead of the
default Line 1 message), until a program mode has been entered and exited (any program
mode). Setting the date to 0/0 will disable the service reminder.
No Pulse Bell (Menu “Yes”)
(yes, no)
(Menu 4: System)
When selected, fire alarm bells will be steady instead of pulsed. (This is typically used for
strobes.)
